Friday 14 May — Arrive in Greece
There will be one group transfer from Athens Airport at approximately 2.30pm. The exact time will be confirmed nearer the retreat once flight schedules are available, so please ensure your flight arrives in plenty of time.
Once at Villa Amfiario, settle into your room, meet the group and enjoy some time to explore before coming together for a gentle welcome practice.
The evening finishes with a simple Greek salad supper at the villa.
-
Start the morning with yoga before heading to one of the highlights of the entire retreat: the Sanctuary of Amphiaraos at Oropos.
We’ll spend approximately 11.30am–2.30pm exploring this extraordinary ancient site and its connections with Greek mythology, healing, dreams and wisdom, with the option to spend a little longer there if you wish.
Back at the villa, we’ll enjoy a late lunch at around 3pm, followed by free time to swim, read, relax or simply enjoy the surroundings.
That evening, we’ll come together for a beautiful traditional home-cooked Greek dinner, prepared especially for us.
-
Sunday begins with an inspiring morning yoga practice, followed by breakfast and perhaps a dip in the pool.
At around 11am, we’ll head to the local beach for sunshine, sea and a slower few hours.
You can choose to buy lunch locally in town or return to the villa for the included late lunch at around 3pm.
After a relaxed afternoon, we’ll head out at 7.30pm for our final evening together, sharing traditional Greek meze at a local taverna.
-
Enjoy an easy final morning at the villa, with the option for a gentle practice or simply time to pack, have breakfast and enjoy one last coffee.

SOCIAL IMPACT
Freedom retreats are built on reciprocity — community development through personal development. When you invest in yourself, you also invest in the places that host you. We work directly with local hosts and partners, and a portion of profits from each retreat is returned to the community through fair pay, local sourcing, and contributions to agreed local needs. We build long-term relationships with our hosts, so every retreat creates value that lasts beyond the week.
