Practice. Learn. Belong.
ABOUT
There comes a moment when the pace of modern life asks to be questioned — an invitation to breathe more deeply and feel fully alive again.
This sense of liberation sits at the heart of Freedom Yoga & Retreats. We create spaces for meaningful reconnection, while remaining committed to widening access to yoga and wellbeing through community outreach and not-for-profit work. Wherever we travel, we aim to build relationships that support both personal growth and the wellbeing of the wider community.
WHAT WE OFFER
Freedom Yoga & Retreats creates nourishing yoga retreats and training rooted in connection, presence, and real life. Our offerings combine yoga, breathwork, meditation, and time in nature to support rest, reflection, and renewal, in ways that feel accessible, grounded, and human.
Whether you’re joining as a guest or guiding as a teacher, Freedom holds the details so you can focus on the experience fully.
OUR APPROACH
At Freedom, we lead with place, hosts and community - not just as scenery, but as an integral part of the practice. Every retreat and training is rooted in reciprocity: when you invest in your own growth, you also nurture local partners, environments and communities through fair pay, local sourcing, and mindful respect.
Whether you’re deepening your practice, training as a teacher, or guiding others on retreat, our approach ensures that learning, teaching and sharing yoga happens in a way that is thoughtful, connected, and grounded in real life.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
Expect grounded guidance, thoughtful teaching, and immersive, nature-rooted settings.
Our retreats and trainings are designed for real life - nurturing your personal practice, supporting your growth, and creating space to connect deeply with yourself, others, and the communities you’re part of. With practical support behind the scenes, every step feels safe, clear, and held, so you can belong fully, learn openly, and share your practice with heart.
OUR FOUNDER
Jax (Jackie Heffer-Cooke, MA) brings yoga to life… for the body, mind, soul, and the everyday moments in between.
Her teaching weaves the koshas, body, energy, mind, wisdom, and connection, with lived experience, blending tradition and insight with modern context. She guides with warmth, insight, and expertise in bodywork, mindfulness, holistic wellbeing and deep yogic philosophy, creating spaces where practice, growth, and connection naturally unfold.
OUR WIDER MISSION
Freedom’s work extends beyond retreats and trainings into community wellbeing. Through Freedom Wellbeing Projects (CIC) we support children’s wellbeing and neurodiversity in schools and community settings, and deliver specialist mum and baby yoga training for practitioners working within mental health and clinical environments.
Internationally, we work in reciprocity with the places we visit, collaborating with local hosts and community initiatives to support wellbeing, education, and resilience. Across all our work, we share practical, accessible tools with care, cultural respect, and a commitment to long-term impact.
