Flying Solo: Thailand ↠ Freedom Yoga
Flying Solo: Thailand
3–10 March 2027 · Phuket + Koh Yao Noi
£1,400 per person · 20 places · Private air-conditioned rooms · 40-60 year olds
Always wanted to do Thailand, but keep thinking, “I’d go if I had someone to come with”?
This week is for you.
Flying Solo is eight days of yoga, island adventures, long lunches, sea swims and properly switching off - with a group of people who are all arriving in exactly the same way: on their own.
No couples. No established friendship groups. No being the only one who doesn’t know anyone.
Just 20 solo travellers meeting in Phuket, heading to Koh Yao Noi together and seeing what happens from there.
Led by Jax, founder of Freedom Yoga & Retreats, with the travel, accommodation and experiences taken care of once the retreat begins.
Come solo. Leave with stories, memories and probably a few new people in your phone.
What to Expect
A week that balances movement, rest and plenty of adventure:
Yoga, mindful movement and meditation
Dawn Tai Chi
Traditional Thai massage
Longtail boat island adventure
Swimming and snorkelling
Kayaking through mangroves
Thai batik workshop with local craftspeople
Fresh, delicious Thai food
Free time to swim, wander, read or do absolutely nothing
A group of 20 people who all arrived solo too
Your 8-Day Journey
Day 1 - Phuket
Arrive at Proud Phuket by 5pm, settle into your private room and meet the group before a relaxed sunset dinner at Nai Yang Beach.
Day 2 - Koh Yao Noi
Travel together by taxi and boat to Koh Yao Noi, settle into your bungalow and ease into island life with an evening practice and dinner by the sea.
Day 3 - Your Exhale Day
Dawn Tai Chi, morning practice, time to swim or rest, plus an included traditional Thai massage.
Day 4 - Island Boat Day
A full day exploring the islands and turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea by traditional longtail boat.
Day 5 - Kayaks + Mangroves
Morning practice followed by a guided kayak through the mangroves, then a slower afternoon and evening practice.
Day 6 - Batik + Closing Practice
Spend time with local craftspeople learning traditional Thai batik before coming together for a closing practice and reflection.
Day 7 - Back to Phuket
Return to Phuket, enjoy a free afternoon and come together for one final beachside dinner at sunset.
Day 8 - Departure
Breakfast together before check-out and goodbyes.
Coming on Your Own? That’s the Point.
We know the thought of flying to Thailand alone can feel like the biggest hurdle.
So before you go, we’ll create a group chat for everyone joining. You can introduce yourselves, compare flights, ask questions and start putting names to faces before you even leave home.
Often people discover they’re on the same or similar flights and choose to travel part of the way together.
All you need to do is make your way to Proud Phuket by 5pm on 3 March. It’s around a four-minute drive from Phuket Airport, so getting there is easy by taxi or tuk-tuk.
Then the adventure properly begins.
Where You’ll Stay
The retreat starts and finishes in Phuket, with the heart of the week spent on peaceful Koh Yao Noi, surrounded by the limestone cliffs and warm waters of Phang Nga Bay.
Throughout the retreat, you’ll have your own private, air-conditioned accommodation, so you get all the fun and connection of travelling with a group, without giving up your own space.
Food
Expect fresh, colourful and seriously tasty Thai food throughout the week; relaxed breakfasts, local lunches (not lunches only included on kayak and 4-island boat days trips) and flavour-packed dinners.
Vegetarian options are available, with vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free requirements catered for when arranged in advance.
What’s Included
7 nights’ private, air-conditioned accommodation
All scheduled transfers between Phuket and Koh Yao Noi
Jax’s retreat practices and sessions
Dawn Tai Chi where scheduled
Traditional Thai massage
Longtail boat island experience
Kayaking and mangrove trip
Thai batik workshop
Scheduled meals
Freedom Yoga & Retreats support throughout the journey
Not included: Flights, travel insurance, your journey from Phuket Airport to Proud Phuket on arrival, personal spending and anything outside the planned itinerary.
£1,400 per person
20 places available.
Payment plan options are available.
And yes - every guest on Flying Solo is travelling without a companion.
So if Thailand has been sitting on your list because you’ve been waiting for someone else to be free, fancy it, or say yes...
this is your invitation to go anyway.
